The Origins, The Name & The Story
My youngest daughter Eden was diagnosed with eczema. After trying many different lotions and oatmeal baths with no real remedy, I started making a shea butter mix with organic oils that started to work well with her skin. In fact, the entire family benefited from the mixtures of body butter, which in turn made me think this formula I created for them may help other people with the same needs.

The name Nonni comes from a funny story. On my discovery of creating this business I was not sure what to name it. When my youngest son was little, he could not say mommy - so he would call me Nonni. After much thought, the name came naturally. As the products were created to nurture my family's skin first, Nonni was so fitting as the business' name.

All Nonni's Cosmetics products are handmade & homemade by one person that is ME - Monica Harris. I love health, beauty and hair care.

Nonni's body butters helps with anti-aging, dry patches, hyperpigmentation, and aiding the skin in so many different ways while also giving it a natural glow. We offer body butters in counter to traditional lotions because those ingredients tend to contain tons of drying alcohols that retain little to none moisture in the skin. Instead, we create with a variety of different natural ingredients including mango butter, shea butter, cocoa butter, aloe vera, tumeric, sea moss and a host of essential oils that not only hydrate the skin but keep it healthy.
I'm a woman who just loves lip gloss. It's my go to for lip moisture. So, it was also natural for me to include glosses as one of Nonni's products.

It is important to me that all of our products are formulated with natural ingredients because it's better and beneficial for the skin. Most of the products I personally use are plant-based with aiding and soothing properties.

Self-care to me is more than beauty. As women, we carry and hold a great deal in our daily lives. We are mothers, daughters and wives; sisters, friends and confidants. We work. We have careers. Life never stops.
We need self-care physically, emotionally and mentally. Self-care is needed to validate our self-worth and growth. Pampering the body and skin is an essential part of self-care.
